In collaboration with the Sydney City Council and TRACT Consultants, Regal Innovations undertook a comprehensive renewal of Sydney Park. This project was initiated in response to the widening of Euston and Campbell roads for the WestConnex motorway, which necessitated significant tree removals and the demolition of park facilities.
Key achievements of the Sydney Park renewal include:
Improved pathways and entry points along Euston Road, ensuring safe and convenient access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Creation of a fresh entry point with new trees, landscaped gardens, and illuminated signs at the corner of Sydney Park and Euston roads, along with two refurbished entry points on Euston Road and near Campbell Road.
Planting of 180 new native trees, 23,000 plants, and expansion of grassed areas to enhance the park's natural beauty.
Construction of a new toilet block and a new picnic area with seating near the wetlands at the park’s southern end.
Enhanced drainage systems and re-turfing of the natural amphitheatre to provide more green space for public enjoyment.
These upgrades have significantly improved the park’s functionality, safety, and aesthetic appeal, ensuring it remains a vital green space for the community. The project underscores Regal Innovations' commitment to enhancing public spaces, providing valuable amenities, and promoting environmental sustainability.
