The Lynne Czinner Park Upgrade in Warriewood, completed in collaboration with the Northern Beaches Council, enhances the green space available to the community and complements the nearby 'Rocket Ship Park' via a new bridge across Fern Creek. Named in honour of former Pittwater Mayor Lynne Czinner, an environmental pioneer, the park features over 4,000 native plants, including melaleucas, tanikas, and pelargonium australe.
Key improvements include:
A shared path and pedestrian bridge connection across Fern Creek
Picnic areas with BBQ facilities, shade, and water bottle refill stations
A network of pedestrian paths
Open grassed areas
Native plantings and landscaping
Car parking on Dove Lane
An innovative approach was taken in soil management for the park. Originally, the plan called for importing approximately 1700 tonnes of new soil to replace the old soil, which would have been removed and taken to landfill or a recycling venue. Instead, our project team utilised heavy machinery to ameliorate the existing soil. By adding compost, fertilizers, and lime to adjust the pH, we brought the existing soil up to the required standard, eliminating the need for new soil and reducing environmental impact.
This upgrade provides a welcoming green space for the Warriewood community and highlights Regal Innovations' commitment to creating functional and sustainable outdoor environments.
