In collaboration with the City of Sydney and Sue Barnsley Design, Regal Innovations has transformed Wimbo Park into a vibrant and expansive urban green space. Stretching from Bourke Street to South Dowling Street, this inner-city park is now three times larger than its predecessor and features more green open spaces and native plants.
Key upgrades include:
Increased shade with 49 new native trees and 21 native palms
Expanded parkland with less paving and an open lawn
Additional casual seating areas
A shared zone along Parkham Lane and a new walking path
A play area with in-ground trampolines and softfall mounds
A fenced buffer separating the park from the light rail
Local heritage elements, such as the Wimbo Paddock Mural and the Stonemasons monument, have been carefully reinstalled. The community's vision for a nature-focused, accessible space has been realised, enhancing both community wellbeing and urban temperature reduction.
Regal Innovations is proud to have played a key role in this project, contributing to a healthier, more engaging urban environment for all to enjoy.
