Micro Rooms, NSW

The micro rooms project is part of Canterbury-Bankstown Council’s Urban Interventions program, which seeks to design, implement and maintain urban interventions in key centres in the local government area. The five outdoor ‘Micro Rooms’ across the Canterbury-Bankstown LGA in Sydney reintroduce whimsy, colour and joy back into a series of public places that have been stripped of these qualities by the pandemic. Occupying small alleys and reclaimed carparks, the Micro Rooms are a pilot new and innovative ideas for the transformation of streets into safe public spaces. We hope that these installations add vibrancy back into the urban landscape.
