We are well on the way to realising the vision of the City of Sydney and Sue Barnsley Design for Wimbo Park!
A much-valued inner city local park and a principal active transport connector from Central Station to the eastern Parklands. The transformation of Wimbo Park into an intimate local park that retains its local character and acknowledges the past, whilst improving active transport connectivity, accessibility, play experience and environmental performance has been a fine balancing that has been well executed by the design team, and we are well on the way to delivering this little gem of a park.
With the majority of inground infrastructure and service works, nature-based water quality systems and the ex-ground mature palms completed, we are starting to see the design vision fast becoming a reality as we move towards the finished surfaces and elements.
